The Access Ramp

Bishop Toby was here today to dedicate the new Access Ramp and Door.  The work to do this, along with the Toilet to make that easily accessible for everyone, has been made possible by the generosity of members of the congregation, supplemented by grants from some charitable trusts – the Liz & Terry Bramall Foundation, The Allchurches Trust, the Sir George Martin Trust, and the Beamsley Trust (which is administered by the Trustees of the Craven Trust).

We are very grateful to all who have helped in any way with the fundraising.

The work was carried out by Enoch Harrison and Son Ltd from Cononley, supervised by Mike and Sheila Overton, our architects.  We are grateful to all who have worked on the building over the last five months; and also to members of the congregation who have done such a splended job of cleaning up the church and tidying the churchyard.

Thank you!

  1. Thanks Pat it was a really wonderful service and a tribute to the whole congregation. How appropriate it was having a baptism and confirmation at the same time as the dedication of the ramp and seeing it being used by people who wouldn’t normally have been to attend especially to see our old friend Barbara Stephenson being one of the first people to use it.

  2. Congratulations St Mary’s on your completion of the ramp. I’m sure it is going to be a big benefit to you all at some time or other.
Love and God’s Blessing to you all
